History

The ROTI is a large tracking telescope system that makes time-correlated, high-resolution, long range photographs of objects in space. It uses a 24 inch aperture 100-inch focal length newtonian optical system. Focal length increases are provided by Biotar relay lenses in increments of 100 inches to a maximum of 500 inches. Cameras may be either 35mm or 70mm. Controls are available for automatic focusing and exposure.

This ROTI was once operational at a tracking site in Melbourne Beach, Florida.
