OSTF Highlights

• June 1958 – Construction began
• July 1959 – Equipment installation began
• 6 June 1960 – Site accepted
• Single silo and above ground Launch Control building to test and confirm operating ground equipment compatibility
• 16 October 1960 – Titan I, VS-2, installed
• 3 December 1960 – Missile exploded and fell to the bottom of the silo fully loaded with RP-1 and LOX
• The site was never repaired
