Launch Complex 26 Information Kiosk

Overview

Former Display location:

Information kiosks like this one were placed at historic sites all over Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The kiosks presented an explanation of the historic nature of the site with narrative, graphic and photographic illustration.

This kiosk was located beside the blockhouse at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Museum to commemorate the historic significance of Launch Complex 26 as the launch place of Explorer I, the United States’ first satellite.

The kiosk has been replaced with a modern, weather and sun resistant information panel.
