• How do I get to the Cape Canaveral Space Force Museum?
  • I’m retired military – can’t I get on station?
    • Only individuals with active CCSFS installation privileges may access the station. Military ID alone does not grant access. If you are not badge-cleared for CCSFS, but have a military ID, you may still visit Patrick Space Force Base.
  • What does the museum cost?
    • Admission and Parking are FREE!
  • What are your hours?
  • Do you offer tours of the museum/history center?
    • We do not offer formal tours of our facilities; however, there will be docents at each site to guide and answer questions during open hours.
  • What are the museum/history center rules?
  • Can I bring food and drinks to the museum/history center?
    • Enclosed drinks, such as bottled water, are allowed. Food and open drinks are not allowed inside the museum/history center without prior authorization. Formula and baby food are allowed.
  • Is food service available on site?
    • We do not offer any food services on site; however, numerous restaurants are in the surrounding areas of Port Canaveral and the city of Cape Canaveral.
    • Picnic tables are available outside each facility.
  • I have small children – what’s offered for them?
    • Sands Space History Center has a mother’s room with changing table, located in the women’s restroom, and a changing table in the men’s room.
  • Do you have wheelchairs available?
    • The Museum does have wheelchairs for visitors to borrow free of charge at each facility.
  • Are pets allowed?
  • Can I take photographs or film at the museum/history center?
    • Absolutely! Individuals are encouraged to take their own photographs or videos while they are at the museum/history center.
    • You may be filmed, photographed, or recorded for educational and promotional uses, including for posting on public websites and social media.
  • Can I view a launch from Sands Space History Center?
  • Do you have anywhere to store my luggage while I tour?
    • No, we do not have lockers or storage facilities.
  • How long does it take to see everything?
    • Commercial tours take up to four hours.
