• How do I get to the Cape Canaveral Space Force Museum?
  • Cape Canaveral Space Force Museum is made up of several facilities, some of which are on an active Space Force station, such as Launch Complex 26 and Hangar C. These sites are not open to the public. You can, however, visit them by booking a commercial tour for a fee. Please contact Canaveral Tours or Space Shuttle Excursions for tour information.
• I’m retired military – can’t I get on station?
  • Only individuals with active CCSFS installation privileges may access the station. Military ID alone does not grant access. If you are not badge-cleared for CCSFS, but have a military ID, you may still visit Patrick Space Force Base.
• What does the museum cost?
  • Admission and Parking are FREE!
• What are your hours?
  • Sands Space History Center: Tues-Fri, 0900-1600; Sat, 0900-1700; Sun 1200-1600, Mon CLOSED
  • Launch Complex 26 Blockhouse and Exhibit Hall: Mon-Fri, 0900-1600; Sat, 1100-1300; Sun CLOSED
  • Hangar C: Wed, 1000-1300
• Do you offer tours of the museum/history center?
  • We do not offer formal tours of our facilities; however, there will be docents at each site to guide and answer questions during open hours.
  • Commercial tours are available for a charge. Please contact Canaveral Tours or Space Shuttle Excursions for tour information.
• What are the museum/history center rules?

• Can I bring food and drinks to the museum/history center?
  • Enclosed drinks, such as bottled water, are allowed. Food and open drinks are not allowed inside the museum/history center without prior authorization. Formula and baby food are allowed.
• Is food service available on site?
  • We do not offer any food services on site; however, numerous restaurants are in the surrounding areas of Port Canaveral and the city of Cape Canaveral.
  • Picnic tables are available outside each facility.
• I have small children – what’s offered for them?
  • There are scavenger hunts and coloring pages available at Sands Space History Center.
  • Sands Space History Center has a mother’s room with changing table, located in the women’s restroom, and a changing table in the men’s room.
• Do you have wheelchairs available?
  • The Museum does have wheelchairs for visitors to borrow free of charge at each facility.
• Are pets allowed?
  • Only service animals are allowed within the museum/history center. ADA definition of a service animal
• Can I take photographs or film at the museum/history center?
  • Absolutely! Individuals are encouraged to take their own photographs or videos while they are at the museum/history center.
  • You may be filmed, photographed, or recorded for educational and promotional uses, including for posting on public websites and social media.
• Can I view a launch from Sands Space History Center?
  • Due to military regulations, Sands Space History Center and adjacent property are NOT available for launch viewing. Launch Viewing Map
• Do you have anywhere to store my luggage while I tour?
  • No, we do not have lockers or storage facilities.
• How long does it take to see everything?
  • Visiting Sands Space History Center can take from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
  • Commercial tours take up to four hours.
• Does the museum have a gift shop?
  • There is a gift shop at Sands Space History Center and online.
• How can I schedule an event at the museum?
  • Sands Space History Center off-station and Hangar C on-station are available as event spaces for military and aerospace-related groups. Contact us at feedback@ccspacemuseum.org for more information.
